| JIB PROJECT Previous Gallery Next This is the tripod that supports everything. It looks simple, but was actually quite a bit of work. The centre column has a custom made bearing arrangement that supports the weight and makes operation relatively smooth. The spreader can be folded up by removing eight bolts, which is nice for transportation. The wheels work well on concrete or asphalt, but I think I'll upgrade to pneumatic tires for better traveling on rough terrain. The whole assembly is solid and getting it through doorways is a pain, but it is relatively tall and works well. |
