| JIB PROJECT Previous Gallery Next Here's a close up shot of the pan drive motor. I found the motor at an electronics supply store, and it came with a nice little gearbox on it. The derlin gears from smallparts.com further reduce the speed. I am working on a better way of isolating the motor from the jib, as it does make a bit of noise. The threaded rod was intentionally left long to protect the motor in the event that the jib hits a ceiling. You can also see the bearing that the head hangs on held in by a plate and some bolts. |
